Curb Parking Zones |
| |
Red |
No Stopping. This prohibition applies 24 hours a day, seven days a week, unless a sign specifies otherwise. |

White |
Passenger Loading.
Vehicles may stop only to load or unload passengers, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The limit is three minutes except for hotels, which have a 10-minute limit. |

Yellow |
Commercial Loading. Trucks and commercial vehicles may stop for 20 minutes to load or unload goods. Passenger vehicles may stop for three minutes to load or unload passengers. Yellow zones are in effect between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., except for Sundays and City holidays. |

Blue |
Disabled Person Parking. Vehicles displaying a placard or license plate that distinguishes a disabled person may park in this zone. They also may park at green curbs or in time-limit zones without observing any time restriction and at metered parking spaces without payment or time restriction. |

Green |
Short-term Parking. Parking is limited to the time-period posted, usually 15 or 30 minutes. Green zones are in effect 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., except for Sundays and City holidays.

Residential Permit Parking Zone
Uptown has one residential permit parking zone, Area A, located in the vicinity of Scripps Mercy Hospital and UCSD Medical Center. Only residents may apply for an annual permit to park at the curb in this zone. However, this program does not reserve specific on-street parking for individuals.
