NEED TO KNOW

Construction Hours and Traffic Flow

Please see the July 2008 Update from the Paseo Project for complete information..

Construction is anticipated to begin at 8:30 AM and end at 4:30 PM. This will allow morning and afternoon commuters an opportunity to access streets that may be closed during working hours.

City Engineering has designed a traffic plan for the area during construction. The plan will make the most efficient use of streets during construction but there will be unavoidable delays in traffic patterns.

Business is Open

Customers and walkers welcome! Pedestrian access will be available. Pedestrians are encouraged to be aware of their surroundings and follow directions of signage.

Parking & Driveway Access

Why is parking removed but no construction is happening?

Parking will be closed 48-72 hours before construction begins in an area. This hopefully will eliminate vehicles from being towed. Problems such as a car not working, an emergency that leaves a vehicle parked or forgetting to move a vehicle all happen. If a car is parked on a closed street the construction team will attempt to notify the vehicles owner but if they are unable to locate the vehicles owner promptly the car will be towed and the vehicles owner is responsible for all fees.

Will there be times I will be unable to access my driveway?

Yes. Opening a driveway during construction is NOT possible due to safety regulations the contractor has to follow. Materials in a closed off area can damage your vehicle. Be aware of signage so your vehicle is not "trapped" in your driveway. Also, opening driveways delays the daily work which increases the time the contractor works.
